Bertie was found as a stray and ended up at the pound where he was loved by the volunteers because of his lovely nature.  Bertie travelled overland to a foster in Essex, UK, in November 2024 but after only a few days, he was adopted because the couple couldn't let him go after he fit so well into their family with their other 2 dogs.  Bertie now enjoys lying by the woodburner, cuddles with his family, long walks in the Essex countryside and along the river, frequenting the local coffee shop, and meeting the locals.
